Halvar are a group of young teenagers who have been storming around the Home Counties impressing audiences with their musicality and professionalism. They play everything from Chuck Berry to Foo Fighters, Stevie Wonder to Green Day and they also write and have recorded their own songs which they now perform regularly in their sets.
They have just been in the studio to record some of their own material which was part of a prize they received after winning the XYZ Battle of the Bands competition at Beaconfest last year.
They also received some free studio recording time from their performance at Rock Week 2019 at The Acoustic Couch in Bracknell – a bonus prize given as the judges were so impressed by them. They are going to record another original song very soon.
The band consist of Luke Thomson (16 yrs) on lead guitar & vocals, Tom Mahoney (14 yrs) on drums, Eliot Whitehouse (14 yrs) on Bass, Anshu Attavar (14 years) on keyboard.
They have performed at Croxfest, Marlow Carnival, Berkofest, Beacon Festival, The Polecat Inn, The Squirrel, The Phoenix Bar, The Acoustic Couch as well as many other Festivals, Fayres, pubs and private gigs. They already have 16 gigs booked this year and have been quoted by Bucks Music Trust to be ‘The hardest working band we know’.
