B LOVE 2020 is coordinated by the B LOVE Music Forum in partnership with Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council. The B LOVE Music Forum is made up of local music promoters with a passion for live music. The promoters regularly put on live music in venues throughout the town providing a platform for local bands and musicians to shine.

What is B LOVE?

B LOVE is a family friendly two day music and performance arts festival, four music stages showcase local artists, national and international acts and large areas are dedicated to provide family entertainment. B LOVE is part of the Basingstoke Festival.

Tickets to B LOVE are provided by our partner Ticketsource. www.ticketsource.co.uk/Blovemusic   Ticketsource are a third party supplier working on behalf of Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council.  We do not recommend buying tickets from any other providers.

What times does the festival start and finish?

B LOVE gates open at 12pm and the event finishes at 11pm on Saturday. On Sunday gates open from 12pm and the event finishes at 7.30pm.

THERE IS NO ENTRY AFTER 9PM ON SATURDAY 11 JULY 2020– You can re-enter the festival up to this time on production of a valid ticket / wristband for the event.

How much are tickets?

Please see below for 2020 ticket prices. A booking fee of 7.5% applies to paid entry tickets. Posted tickets and telephone sales will attract an additional £1.75 charge, and there is a cost of 50p to text message delivery. You can also order tickets by phone on 0333 666 3366. There is an additional £1.75 charge for using this service.

What is a concession ticket?

A concession ticket is for adults in receipt of the following benefits: Disability Living Allowance / Personal Independence Payments / Universal Credit / Housing Benefit or Council Tax Benefit / Income-related Employment and Support Allowance / Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance / Guarantee Pension Credit (not Savings Pension Credit alone) / Working Tax Credit and/or Child Tax Credit / Full time students over the age of 18 / Any person who can prove they are over the age of 60 years old. Please note proof of status may be required on entrance to the event.

How do disabled adult and carer/personal assistant tickets work?

This ticket admits two people on one ticket. This ticket type is for disabled adult who would like to attend the event with a support person, e.g. personal assistant/carer. Please note if you are a disabled person who plans to attend the event on your own you may want to purchase an adult concession ticket instead. Proof of status may be required on entrance to the event.

Why do I have to buy a ticket in advance?

To avoid long queues in the entrance to War Memorial Park, visitors are required to purchase tickets in advance of the event. Visitors without a valid ticket will not be allowed into the event and will need to purchase their ticket online at www.ticketsource.co.uk/blovemusic before being allowed in.

Do I need to print my tickets?

There is no requirement to have printed tickets. If you have opted to receive them by email or text then please have the ticket available to view on your phone at the gate and festival staff will scan the QR code.

I have bought a ticket and not received it?

If you have paid for your ticket and not received it, please check that you have included the correct email address and telephone number in your order. You should have received an email confirming your order, with a QR code that will be used by festival staff at the gate. There was also an option to pay 50p to receive this via text to your mobile phone.

What can I do if I have lost my e-ticket?

If you have lost your e-ticket please visit www.ticketsource.co.uk/help and they will be able to re-send this to you. You will then need to enter your email address and instructions to download your ticket will be sent to you.

Why am I paying 50p to have my ticket sent to my phone?

This is optional. When booking your ticket online you would have been given the option to receive the QR code needed on the day by email or by text message. If you have chosen to you receive this by text, you will be charged an additional 50p. This charge is set by Ticketsource.

Prohibited Items

Drugs policy

B LOVE will not tolerate the use of illegal drugs at the event. You may be searched when entering the site and passive search dogs will be in operation. If you are found in possession of an illegal substance it will be confiscated and you will be refused entry to the event. In addition, the Police may be informed.

Alcohol Policy

As responsible event organisers, B LOVE wants to ensure the event is appropriate for everyone and offers a safe and enjoyable experience for all. Alcohol can only be purchased from our onsite food and drink outlets. These bars will be encouraged to offer standard prices.

Alcohol is not permitted within the family entertainment area

Age Restrictions

There is no age limit to attend B LOVE, however, if you are 12 years or below, you will need to attend with an Adult over 18 years old. Young people aged 13 to 17 may attend with friends, but will not be able to purchase or consume alcohol.

If you want to drink alcohol at the event, you will need to bring an acceptable form of photographic identification with you. B LOVE operates a ‘Challenge 25’ policy. If you are considered to be under the age of 25 you may be asked for ID.

The following are considered as acceptable forms of identification.

Your original driving licence photo card.

Your original passport.

Food & Drink Policy

Ticket holders are welcome and encouraged to bring in their own food to the event.  Many festival goers bring in picnics, but please remember to leave your cutlery and glass at home.

You will not be allowed to bring alcoholic drinks into the event. You can bring non-alcoholic drinks in with you but they must be sealed and unopened.

Can I park at the event?

Yes, a free public car park will be available at the Old Common accessed from London Road. Please follow the yellow road signs.

Is there Disabled Access & Parking at B LOVE?

Yes. There is disabled access to the event at all entrances. Please note that this event is held in War Memorial Park which is a grassed area with uneven ground.  There is a disabled viewing platform near the Main Stage and disabled toilets will also be available. Please ask a steward on the day for assistance or contact blove@basingstoke.gov.uk prior to the event to discuss how we can accommodate your access needs.  Disabled parking for Blue Badge Holders is available in Eastlands Car Park.

Is there baby changing facilities at B LOVE?

There are baby changing facilities around the festival. Please note that baby food in glass containers are not permitted as they are prohibited items.

Will you have free water at the event?

A water point will be clearly displayed in War Memorial Park. Visitors are encouraged to bring an empty bottle to fill with water throughout the day. We would encourage visitors to keep hydrated throughout the day. We would also encourage visitors to use sun cream and take regular breaks in the shade during the hottest hours of the day.

Dog Policy

No dogs or other pets are permitted at the event, with the exception of registered assistance dogs. There will be passive search dogs in operation at the event.

Camping Policy

Camping is not permitted at B LOVE.

Smoking Policy

Smoking is not permitted inside the tents or within the family entertainment area. This includes vaping.

Who can I contact if there is too much noise from the event?

Performances start at 1pm on both days, with performances until 11pm on Saturday and 7.30pm on Sunday.

As with events of this nature there will be noise from the site but depending on weather conditions, sound from the event may travel greater distances. The event management team on site will be monitoring noise levels closely.
